Carl Hauch Named Senior Vice President of Human Resources At Advance Auto Parts

Advance Auto Parts Names Carl Hauch, Senior Vice President, to Lead Human Resource

ROANOKE, Va., Oct 13, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Advance Auto Parts, Inc., (AAP 60.96, +1.17, +1.96%), a leading automotive aftermarket retailer of parts, batteries, accessories, and maintenance items, today announced Carl Hauch will transition to the role of Senior Vice President, Team Member Excellence. Mr. Hauch will be responsible for leading Human Resources and for guiding Team Member development strategies, systems and processes. Mr. Hauch will report to Tami Kozikowski, Chief Development Officer and will re-locate to Roanoke, Virginia.

Mr. Hauch joined Advance in June 2008 serving as Senior Vice President, Operations -- West. Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Hauch worked for Starbucks Coffee Company, where he ultimately served as Vice President, Operations responsible for the strategic direction and profitability of 650 stores across nine states in the Mountain Region of the United States. Prior to that, he served as an International Managing Director and CEO for Starbucks in Switzerland and Austria, where he was responsible for setting strategic direction and overseeing the turnaround of operations in both countries. Mr. Hauch attended the Rutgers Graduate School of Management and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Economics from Rutgers College.
