Patricia Wadors Takes Top HR Role At Plantronics


Patricia Wadors Joins Plantronics as Senior Vice President of Human Resources

New Executive Team Member Brings 24 Years of Human Resources and Organizational Management Leadership


SANTA CRUZ, CA, Apr 14, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Plantronics (PLT 31.76-0.22-0.69%) today announced that Patricia Wadors has joined the company as senior vice president of human resources, responsible for leading Plantronics' human resources programs across the company's worldwide offices and facilities.

Prior to joining Plantronics, Wadors spent four years at Yahoo! Inc. in a series of more senior positions. As senior vice president of human resources, Wadors led Yahoo!'s HR Business Partner function for the entire global business, including over 14,500 employees in more than 17 locations. In this role, Wadors was integral in helping design and lead a company-wide reorganization under Yahoo!'s new CEO, Carol Bartz. She was most recently responsible for compensation, benefits, human resources programs and operations, mergers and acquisitions, and led all HR efforts related to Yahoo!'s Search Alliance with Microsoft.
Prior to Yahoo!, Wadors served as the chief human resources officer for Align Technologies, a global medical-device company and manufacturer of the Invisalign(R) system. She was previously at Applied Materials in both human resources and operations business functions. As the senior director of human resources for the PDC Product Group, Wadors led a global human resource organization with over 1,600 employees worldwide. There, she was responsible for defining culture, organizational transformation and communication strategies, as well as leading workforce planning strategies. Prior to Applied Materials, Wadors held human resources positions at Merck Pharmaceutical, Viacom International and Calvin Klein Cosmetics.
Wadors graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ramapo College, with a major in Human Resources Management and a minor in Psychology.
