Matthew Carlomagno Appointed To Top HR Job At EMS Technologies'

Matthew Carlomagno Appointed EMS Technologies' Corporate Director of People and Infrastructure


ATLANTA, Mar 15, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- EMS Technologies, Inc. announced today the appointment of Matthew Carlomagno as corporate director of People and Infrastructure, reporting to Dr. Neil Mackay, president and CEO.

In this senior management role, Carlomagno will provide executive oversight of the company's human capital efforts, IT and facilities operations.

Over a 20-year career, Carlomagno has held strategic human resources positions in globally recognized companies during periods of significant organizational change. Most recently, he was vice president, Human Resources for the Technology, Strategy and Operations division of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS), a Time-Warner Company with 10,000 employees worldwide.

In this role, Carlomagno oversaw Human Resources activities for several key business units representing 20 percent of TBS' worldwide staff. They included New Products, Strategic Planning, Platform Research & Development, Turner Studios, Network Operations, Turner Technology Services, Digital Media Technologies, Enterprise Applications and Engineering. Carlomagno consulted with senior and executive leadership on matters relating to organizational design, contract management, employee relations, succession planning and headcount/resource management.

Prior to TBS, Carlomagno worked for Dun & Bradstreet, Inc., the world's leading source of commercial information and insight on businesses, where he was responsible for human resources activities for the company's e-business and supply management solutions units as well as acquisition activities. Prior to D&B, Carlomagno held a variety of strategic human resources roles with Reuters America (now Thomson Reuters), a market leader for intelligent information for businesses and professionals. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and is a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
