After One Year Of Service, Walt Disney Co., Chief HR Officer Dennis W. Shuler Receives 3 Million Dollar Severance

After One Year Of Service, Walt Disney Co., Chief HR Officer Dennis W. Shuler Receives 3 Million Dollar Severance.

23 years at P & G -- Only survives one at Disney -- A classic executive miscasting by the world's most prestiguous entertainment firm. With an impressive corporate pedigree from P & G, it would be interesting to know the inside scoop regarding his termination. Also will be worth watching to see if he lands on his feet. The 3 million dollar safety valve for Shuler still is well short of the record package for an HR Exec received by Dennis Donovan when he resigned from Home Depot.

"Mr. Shuler joined Disney in April of 2008 from Procter & Gamble where he spent 23 years serving in a variety of leadership capacities both in the United States and the United Kingdom. Most recently, Mr. Shuler has served as Vice President of P&G Beauty and Health & Well Being global business units. In this capacity, he was responsible for providing strategic human resources direction including acquisition and divestiture planning, talent sourcing, leadership identification, development and planning, diversity and employee and labor relations. In particular, he has played a significant leadership role in P&G's three largest acquisitions to date of the Clairol, Wella and Gillette companies and the recent creation of the new Folgers's Coffee Company."
